For rental applicants

Connect your bank to verify your income

Asked to show proof of income? Connect your bank through Plaid instead of sending statements.

Read-only: no one can move your money · No one can see your password

Your details

Use the same name and email as on your rental application.

Plaid connects you to your bank. How we use your information: privacy policy.

How it works

Three steps, and you stay in control of what you share.

  1. Fill in your details

Your name, email and phone, and the address of the home you applied for.

  2. Sign in to your bank and choose your accounts

You sign in inside the window of Plaid, a service lenders and apps use to connect bank accounts, then pick your chequing, savings, credit card and loan accounts. Plaid gathers 12 months of history.

  3. We get your report

Zola receives your balances and transactions by email, and the bank connection is closed right away.

Quick answers

Before you connect.

Is this safe?

You sign in to your bank inside Plaid's window, so Zola never sees your password. The connection is read-only, so no one can move money, and we close it as soon as your report arrives.

What does Zola see?

The accounts you choose, their balances, 12 months of transactions, the names on the accounts, and credit card and loan details where your bank provides them.

Who sees my information?

Zola and the owner of the home you applied for, only to assess your application. We look at income together with your credit check, rental history and references, never on its own.

Do I have to connect my bank?

No. You can email your last 12 months of statements to info@zolapropertymanagement.com instead.

Can I connect more than one bank?

Yes. When the first one is done, choose Connect another bank.
