You pay one month's rent plus HST when your tenant signs.

Mississauga rules to know before you rent

We don't have Mississauga-specific reviews to show yet, so here are the city's own rules, and where to check them.

Renting in Mississauga: what we see

From towers by Square One to houses in the north end, a few things that shape rent and demand here.

City Centre

Condo towers around Square One, close to shopping, offices and the transit terminal. Many units here are newer, so they're outside the yearly rent increase cap.

Port Credit and Lakeview

Houses and low-rise condos near the lake, with GO trains to Union Station from Port Credit. Applicants often commute downtown.

Meadowvale, Erin Mills and Churchill Meadows

Houses, townhouses and basement units. Parking, laundry and whether utilities are included come up first, so the listing answers them.

Asking rents across Ontario were down 4.8% from a year earlier in September 2026 (Rentals.ca and Urbanation, reported by CP24 on October 7, 2026), so pricing against today's listings, not last year's, matters.
