Renting in Halton Hills: what we see
Halton Hills is two towns, Georgetown and Acton, with villages and countryside around them. Most rentals are houses, townhouses and registered second units.
Georgetown
Most of the town's rentals, from older houses near Main Street and Glen Williams to newer subdivisions in the south end. The Kitchener GO line and Highway 401 bring commuters from Brampton, Mississauga and Toronto.
Acton
A smaller town with its own GO station and lower rents than Georgetown. Houses and second units here suit tenants who work locally or in Guelph and Milton.
Rural properties
Farmhouses and country homes on wells and septic systems, where the Town's serviced-lot rules for added units don't apply in the same way. We write water, heating fuel, snow clearing and lawn care into the lease so there's no doubt who handles what.
